This year they bring a new level of involvement with their organisation of "the AMAROK Experience", giving Raid spectators a chance to see - and drive - this exciting new vehicle.

VW Amarok

The new VW Amarok pick-up truck, which was showcased as a concept in 2008, is due to be launched across Europe towards the end of summer 2011 and already is acclaimed as "Pick-Up Truck of the Year 2011" by an international jury of automotive journalists during the IAA in Hanover.

Its name translates into "wolf" in the language of the Inuit, one of the Eskimo people who live in Northern Canada and Greenland.
Developed from scratch, the new VW Amarok truck will be initially launched as a double cab pick-up with four-wheel drive, and a single-cab version is scheduled to be introduced later. Power comes from VW’s next generation of common rail turbo engines which claim to offer class leading fuel consumption and emissions.
